The online journaling scene really has died down something fierce. I don't do much to help breathe life into it, for all that it remains my principal non-IRL social medium -- combination of becoming wordier in my old age (thus, not being a fan of microblogging a la plurk) but also busier (thus, having less time/energy to create the ever-wordier blog posts that my brain wants).

I'm so glad to hear that your program is going well! It sounds absolutely amazing. Your work and relationships with animals were always magical, and it's great that you're leveling up even more with this.

As for me, it's still grad school. I'm getting out in May, though! (Knock on wood... ...well, I'm definitely getting out, it's that fancy piece of paper that's always the question.) My big show is at the end of the season, in the March-May period, but I have some smaller projects between now and then. Mostly, though, it's thesis-writing.
